Updated Skin Regimen-2013

Hey Ladies!

So it's been a while since I've uploaded my updated skin regimen. A lot has changed product-wise! For those of you following this blog since the beginning, you know that I raved about the Clinique system for oily skin. Since then I've suffered extreme adult acne...or at least extreme in my eyes.

I realized the Clinique system was a possible culprit to breakdowns, so I ventured out to find other products to tame and soothe my skin. I tried Lush face products, Neutrogena facial cream wash, among others; all to find myself at the dermatologist for an issue separate from my obvious acne. During this visit, the Dermatologists made it a point to bring up my acne in a matter-of-fact way. I always avoided going to the Dermatologist for acne issues because I ended up wasting money on products that never worked. It was safe to say, I'd lost all faith in all Dermatologists.

But this Dermatologist changed the game for me, he prescribed Solodyn pills and Differin gel. I explained to him my apprehension on filling the prescription, but he gave it to me regardless. I am soo happy he gave me prescription....I became extremely unhappy with my skin to the point it began to deplete my self-esteem. I had to change my routine, so I started using the gel. I got results but not what I was looking for so I decided to start taking the pills. And WOW! What a difference they made to my skin. After about a month my acne totally cleared up....occasionally I had areas of breakouts but they did not linger at all!

Today, my breakouts are minimum and I use my prescription as needed. The skin regimen I currently have has helped to maintain the health and overall appearance of my skin. Aside from my lovely dark spots left behind by pimples, the overall texture is flawless! I have a system I am currently using, featured in my regimen below, that targets the dark spots! Hopefully, the dark spots will fade....fingers crossed!
