♥ January Favs ♥

Heyy again!!

I know this is a couple of days late. But another extension of my blog that I planned to add is my monthly favorites! I know I do reviews of products but I wouldn't consider all of those products a favorite of mine; even if I gave a positive review of that product! Sooooo, with that said, onto my favorites!

*These items are not listed in any particular order.
  1. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque
  2. L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail Color
  3. M.A.C. Iris Apfel Nail Collection (in its entirety)
  4. Revlon Lip Butters
  5. Jewelmint: Parisian Dream Earrings
  6. Real Technique brushes
Some of the items mentioned above have been featured in a previous post and others have not. But
I hope to be doing a detailed video of my January favs. I havent been posting videos lately because I realized that the lighting in my house is not that great...well at least where its most comfortable to film. Hopefully, I'll be able to figure something out because I do what to go into details as to why these few items have made my list. It might be a situation where I do my January and February favs together in one video if time does not allow me to do them separately. But check on the previous posts but clicking on each item!

Toodles!

Product Review: Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque

Heyyy!
Source
For the past two weeks I've been giving this deep conditioner a try. I've heard many YouTubers and Bloggers runt and rave about this product so I thought I'd give it go. First off, I was kind of turned off by the price. I visited my local Ulta store to find that the 8oz was roughly $30 and the 16oz was about $40. Expensive, right?! I decided to go on Amazon and bought it for an absolute steal, $25 for the 16oz. I must admit, I'm elated I was able to get my manicured paws on this baby because this stuff is AHH-MAZINGLY AWESOME!!

I've decided to stay faithful to this stuff....there's absolutely no reason to stray! I was looking for a deep conditioner that would leave my hair ultra moisturized which are the exact results I got. Here are the product claims according to Ulta:

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque is a revitalizing hair reconstructor for dry, damaged hair. A combination of macadamia oil and argon oil along with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts rejuvenate and rebuild the hair, leaving the hair deeply nourished for improved elasticity and shine with long-lasting conditioning benefits.

  • Combines Macadamia & Argan oils with Tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extract

  • Deep nourishment & long-lasting conditioning

  • Ultra-conditioning hair reconstruction

  • My hair was in desperate mean of rejuvenation; my strands were in dire need of some tender TLC. My hair started feeling super dry and lifeless to say the least. I must admit, I've been way too busy to put in the time to take of my hair so I completely understand why my strands decided to punish me! So, last night I decided to do an extreme deep condition. I left this product in for about 4 hours and honestly my hair looks and feels like a completely different head of hair. I dont even recognize my own strands! lol. As a note, I've used this product a couple of times before last night and I got the same results. You don't necessarily have to have it in for hours to get great results.

Because I am so far in my transition (its going on 8 eight months since my last perm) my ends are getting extremely thin. If you've been following my posts regarding my transition, then you know that shedding at the line of demarcation is simply unavoidable. So, with that said, my ends are quite thin compared to my new growth. Based on the results that I been getting from this product, I think its going to help me slow down my shedding. I'll keep you guys posted on how well it helps.

I highly recommend this product if your hair is dry and damaged. Honestly, if I had to I would purchase this product from Ulta. It's really worth the investment! Like I said, this is the deep conditioner that I've sticking with! I plan on adding this to my into my weekly routine!

I LOVE these brushes! They're affordable and work like a dream! Here's a blurb from Real Techniques website:

    About The Line
Designed with pro makeup artist Samantha Chapman, Real Techniques brushes combine high-tech materials with innovative design to make creating a pixel-perfect look easier than ever:
    • Taklon bristles are ultra plush and smoother than the hair you'll find in other brushes. Since taklon is synthetic, it's 100% cruelty-free. The soft fibers help create a flawless, high-definition finish in any type of light – from sunlight to harsh indoor lighting.
    • The color-coded system corresponds to the key steps of makeup application so you can create a flawless base, enhanced eyes, and the perfect finish like a pro.
    • Each brush head is hand-cut to the perfect shape, allowing for precise application from dense coverage to a soft, delicate finish.
    • The collection is suitable for a wide range of products and every makeup need – from powders, creams, and liquids to mineral makeup, highlighter, and shimmer.
    • Brush names on the handles make for easy reference when creating your favorite look.
Everything the blurb above hightlights is all true!! In fact, on most days I go for these brushes over the MAC brushes that I have. I get a flawless look with little ease and that's what I love the most about these brushes. The only con I have is that there extremely hard to get your hands on. Over here in the states, you can purchase these brushes only at Ulta; although I'm sure you can try Ebay and Amazon as well. But I literally went to Ulta twice looking for these brushes and walked away empty handed. On my third try, I still didnt walk away with everything that I planned to purchase but at least that time I walked away with something!

Another thing that made me fall in love with this line is that the brushes do not shed. Some synethetic brushes shed their fibers which is completely annoying while you're doing makeup. Also, some synthetic fibers can feel cheap and stiff against the skin, making you have to work 10 times hard to accomplish a clean and blended look. Not with these brushes though, amazingly they feel like real hair and make blending a sweet breeze!

    I highly recommend these brushes!

Have you purchased any of these brushes? What do you think?
