Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer

Hey ladies!

Source

Recently, I've halfway ditched my normal liquid foundation, Makeup Forever Mat Velvet. I still swear by this foundation, but I've been noticing lately that the trend is a "no makeup makeup look." Flawless skin, natural eyeshadows, bold but clean brow, flush of color on the cheeks and either a bold pop of lip color or a natural lip (however you feel that day). Soooo...I went on a search to find a foundation-like product that would still give me coverage but be lightweight at the same time.

I've been hearing buzz about tinted moisturizers and BB Creams so I decided to try a tinted moisturizer out. Now, I did go for the more expensive product BUT I'm sure there are more products out there that are more economical.

I absolutely love the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, it glides on the skin like a moisturizer but gives you just the right touch of coverage at the same time. It is comparable to a sheer coverage foundation but I would not recommend this to you ladies that have areas that need a little more love and coverage unless you are using a concealer along with it. But it is great for a day that you don't necessarily what to pack on the foundation. It's very wearable and settles beautifully.

Product benefits:
  • Offers protection from the sun with SPF 20
  • Hydrates the skin while protecting it from dryness
  • Oil-Free formula that softens skin offering a healthy glow, while preventing excess oil from setting on the surface of the skin....which is a plus for us girlies who have acne prone skin
  • Can be paired with foundation to add moisture and spf 20. Also helps to build the foundation for a more even and flawless coverage

I've been using this product for a little over a week. I usually try to use the product for at least two weeks before I do a review or rave about it. But this could not wait. I have not reached for my full coverage foundation yet! I have dark spots on my face where pre-existing pimples were...this product does a good job evening out my skin and hiding my imperfections. This product really makes my skin look and feel great.

As I mentioned, this product is on the more price-er side, which is the only con that I have of it so far. I believe it was between $40 and $42 at Sephora. There is a good amount of product that comes in the tube, however, and a little does go a long way. So, to me, its worth the investment.

Until next time,
Toodles !! :)

Back from my Hiatus

Hey ladies!!

I'm backkkkkkk!! Yayy!

More excited than ever to have the time to blog again! I've made some major changes in my life that took so getting use to. I've recently started a new job. Where I worked previously I was averaging about 49-50 hours a week plus trying to balance my school work load. For those of you who are new to this blog, I'm working on my Masters of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. The main thing is that I've settled into my new job where I'm working the normal 40 hours a week and making alot more $$$$, all the while being on top of my school work and blogging for you ladies :).

Woohooo!

Just to catch you guys up on a few things, I'll continue to do a "What's On My Nails" post every now and then as well as continue with my monthly favorites, product hauls and reviews. I'm trying to come up with new ideas for the blog which will just be weeded into my posts over time! You guys don't understand how much I have miss thee! Anywho, with me being in my second year of graduate the work is starting to get intense. Of course, as I did before this will be my outlet for break times when my brain starts to spaz out from stress lol. So I'll try to post at least once a week. I have blogger on my iPhone so hopefully I can start getting into the groove of posting on the go.

In other news, I am coming up to my one year anniversary of transitioning. In my first few posts discussing my decision to transition I mentioned that I did not what to "big chop" instead I wanted to transition with mini trims every 6 weeks or so. Ok....I haven't kept up with this whole trim routine at all. In fact, I've probably had only three...actually 2 1/2 trims (because I punked out1/2 through one of the trims). But I've made the decision to just suck it up and get rid of most of my permed ends. Having the two textures is just becoming too much to handle. I'm realizing that I started doing the same thing on my wash days that I do on the days that I need to sit down and hit the books, find something else unproductive to do. So at this point I'm feeling like I have no choice, my natural hair does reach my shoulder but my hair as a whole is armpit length. Then again the ends look extremely thin to me, which is not what I want my hair to look like. So, it shouldn't be that bad. And if it is I'll just wear weave for a couple of months lol.

Of course I have soooo many new products that I love and some that I hate that I'll be sharing with you guys so definitely look out for those! AHHHHHH....theres so much to cover lol but......

Until next time,
Toodles :)
